Design Process

Step One

As soon as you’ve confirmed your date and venue, just get in touch to check my availability. You can send me an email, and I’ll reply within      24 hours.

If I’m free for your date I’ll send over a few follow-up questions to understand your plans including:

-The size of your wedding
-Your venue
-Any inspiration photos you already have

Step Two

If you are keen to move ahead and secure your date, you can do this with a £100 non-refundable booking fee.

If your wedding is booked further in advance, I’ll contact you around four to six months before your date to arrange your consultation. I usually like to do this face-to-face consultation, so I can get a better feel for your day.

We’ll go through things like flavours, colour palette, textures and the kind of design your drawn to.
I’ll  then go away and draw your design. Once you’re happy with it, I’ll send over a detailed quote.

Step Three

Four weeks before your wedding, I’ll be in touch to collect your findal balance.

On the week of your wedding I’ll confirm everything with your venue coordinator or planner as well as your florist (if you are having fresh flowers)

Your cake will be transported safely in my Cake Safe and set up exactly as planned. All allergen and cake-cutting information will be given directly to your venue coordinator or planner.

I’ll also leave a cake box for you, so you can enjoy it later – if there’s any left.

FAQ'S

Do you deliver to our venue?
Yes, I deliver and set up all my wedding cakes to make sure everything arrives safely and looks exactly as it should.
Your cake will be transported in my Cake Safe so it’s fully secure on the journey, and I’ll set it up at your venue ready for your day.

Delivery is charged based on distance from Bournemouth, and this will always be included clearly in your quotation.
Do you cater for special diets?
All of my cakes are produced in an environment where gluten, milk, eggs and nuts are present.  Therefore I cannot guarantee that a product will be 100% free-from. I can cater for intolerances and dietary preferences, but I do not cater for severe allergies.
Do you create bespoke flavours?

I don’t work from a fixed flavour list – I’ll guide you towards combinations that feel right for you and your day. If you have something in mind, I’m always open to creating something new. I specialise in dessert-style flavours, so it’s not just about flavour – it’s how everything works together.
I want your cake to surprise you and your guests – sometimes with combinations you might have thought of, but that just work.

There may occasionally be an additional cost for certain ingredients, but I’ll always make that clear in your quote.

I’m more than happy to help you choose a stand that suits your design and overall look.

Stand hire is £20 per stand.  A refundable damage deposit of £30-£100 will be charged and returned to you within 5 days, provided the stand is returned clean and undamaged.
